FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                                                          May 11, 2022

Nancy Brinker released the following statement after taking part in this week’s Moonshot Cancer event at The White House.

“I virtually attended the May 11th Cancer Moonshot meeting where I got to discuss the topic of navigation with top medical leaders such as, my good friend and Promise Fund Medical Advisory Board Member, Dr. Harold Freeman. Dr. Freeman pioneered the concept of patient navigation in 1990 to eliminate barriers to timely cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment. I was honored to not only share my wisdom, but to learn from some of the nation’s chief health innovators about how we can work together to create a healthier nation.”
